The back of the blade acts as a guard, allowing the stylist to razor the hair with the shears closed. The shears are specially designed to hold the blades closer together. The Japanese ATS314 Cobalt steel blades are 33% sharper and have smoother edges than conventional high-quality beauty shears. The 6 inch blade can be used for both wet and dry cutting. The handle is ergonomic and comfortable in the hand, with a gentle thumb twist.
